The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Lu, has advocated for lower interest rates for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, particularly for women, to enable them to access financial support and thrive in their businesses. Sanwo-Olu made the appeal on Thursday at an event held at the Blue Roof, Ikeja, to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event has the theme “Economic Inclusion of Women Entrepreneurs at the Grassroots/Community Level.”

The Plateau State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ephraim Usman, stated that Governor Caleb Mutfwang-led administration is committed to developing small businesses through significant support. Usman made this statement during a speech at an entrepreneurship and stakeholders meeting in Jos, the state capital, on Saturday. He mentioned that the state government had already dedicated resources to properly identifying businesses and community-based organizations in order to gather reliable data for government intervention and other beneficial purposes.
