NERC fines AEDC N200m for increasing prices for all customers

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company Plc has implemented the new price of N225 per kilowatt-hour for all customer categories within its areas, going against the directive that only high-power consumers in Band A should be charged the new rate. As a result, AEDC was fined N200m by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission for disobeying the directive.
