Niagara Regional Police have announced that an 80-year-old man died the day after a two-vehicle crash on Four Mile Creek Road in Niagara-on-the-Lake on Tuesday morning.

The Hamilton police mentioned responding to the collision early Wednesday on a service road between Winona Park and Fifty Point Conservation area.

At 9:45 a.m., the RCMP released a news statement to say officers were called to the northbound lanes of Highway 2 near Veterans Boulevard.

Just before 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Alberta RCMP announced the closure of the northbound lanes of Highway 2 south of High River, Alta., due to a crash.

ECCC advised people adjust their driving to match the changing road conditions, with the possibility for quickly-changing and worsening travel conditions.

The London fire department stated just before 7 a.m. that the crews had 'completed extrication' and were working 'to mitigate a significant diesel fuel spill.'
