According to Drive BC, the accident occurred outside the Stawamus Chief parking lot and both directions are blocked on Friday afternoon.

During the Easter long weekend and spring break for many students in Alberta, the RCMP are asking drivers to be ready for busy highways.

DriveBC said the Okanagan Connector was closed around 12 a.m. Friday following a vehicle incident. The road reopened two hours later, but motorists were told to expect delays.

Around 11:30 p.m. Thursday emergency crews responded to a collision on County Road 45 near Beagle Club Road. OPP say both drivers and a passenger died. Two others were injured.

The Ministry of Transportation affirmed, “The area undergoing slope stabilization work will remain open for traffic.”
