Kate Lee Moran, a filmmaker and comedian, grew up feeling isolated as a Korean adoptee before entering the world of comedy. She had conflicts with her classmates while growing up in Buffalo, New York. Moran found solace and strength in performing arts, leading her to express herself more fully. Although she initially focused on acting and comedy, she later shifted to producing and directing to elevate the voices of marginalized groups.
