Red Goose Saloon in Fort Worth had another drag brunch for all ages to celebrate Mother's Day with drag performances.
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the venue faced a protest in April when it showcased a Disney-themed drag brunch. Like previous shows at Red Goose Saloon, the businesses allowed minors to attend.
The organizers suggested the audience be over 16 due to the content, but still welcome all. They also said it's okay to bring children at your own discretion.
Some people have criticized drag for possibly being misogynistic in recent years.
Some individuals, such as Republican activist Michelle Evans of Williamson County, have expressed concern about the impact on children and the portrayal of women in drag. speaking with DX Michelle Evans of Williamson County expressed her concerns back in February.
DX sought out Red Goose Saloon owner Chris Hutchinson to ask about allegations of misogyny, but has not received a response yet.
Local performers Bradina Jay, Monroe Chesser, Barbie Davenport Dupree, and Kiana Lee were featured at the Mother’s Day drag brunch on Sunday.
