Francis Ford Coppola’s movie “Megalopolis” will be shown at the Cannes Film Festival. It is also going to be distributed in five European regions: Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain, and the U.K. It has agreements with Constantin Film, Eagle Pictures, Tripictures, Entertainment Film Distributors Limited, and Le Pacte.
Coppola wrote, produced, and directed the film, which has been his passion project for many years. He funded it himself. The movie is a modern American Roman Epic fable, and it stars Adam Driver as a visionary artist and Giancarlo Esposito as the mayor of New Rome, who wants to maintain the old ways.
Coppola’s lawyer, Barry Hirsch, and the president of Goodfellas (formerly Wild Bunch International), Vincent Maraval, arranged the distribution deals with several companies for “Megalopolis.” Hirsch and Maraval also handled the deal with Le Pacte for France.
More information will be released soon.
