Kate Gosselin gave birth to her sextuplets on May 10, 2004, after having twins Mady and Cara. Gosselin and her husband, Jon, appeared with their kids on the TLC reality show “Jon and Kate Plus Eight”. The couple got a divorce in 2009. They divorced after 10 years of marriage.

For the birthday tribute, Gosselin posted a rare photo of her kids Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel celebrating their 20th birthday at home in North Carolina. The four siblings stood around a table with a homemade chocolate cake with candles. Collin and Hannah, two of their sextuplet siblings, were not in the photo.
Gosselin added the caption, “No more teenagers in this house! Happy 20th birthday, my forever babies! I love you! Who feels old? I know I do! #20yearsold 🎁🎉🎈🎊”
Followers questioned why Gosselin was only honoring four of her kids.
“Wasn’t there 6 of them? Where’s the other 2?” one commenter asked.
“Wish they could all be together,” another wrote.
Others couldn’t believe how fast the Gosselin kids grew up.
In a separate post, Jon Gosselin wished her daughter Hannah a happy birthday. After Hannah posted a photo of herself, Jon Gosselin wrote, “ Happy 20th!!!! Daughter.”
Hannah and Collin Gosselin lived with their mom when they were little. But they moved in with their dad from their early teen years and through high school. Kate Gosselin attended Collin and Hannah’s high school graduation ceremony in June 2023, but she is completely estranged from Collin.
“Hannah invited Kate and… we saw each other, but there was a whole football field between us,” Jon Gosselin explained to People magazine in a 2023 interview. “I talked to Hannah and Collin before graduation to make sure that it was gonna be cordial.”

Fans watched all eight of the Gosselin children grow up on “Jon and Kate Plus Eight.” Following the Gosselins’ divorce, Kate appeared on the show solo with the kids. Fans began to notice that Collin was missing from the show.
In 2016, Kate revealed that she sent Collin to a residential program for children with special needs. At the time, she did not specify what Collin’s needs were. She told People magazine,“(There’s) a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things. …It’s not something that has only impacted me or him — our entire family has been impacted.”
Collin was later taken from the facility by his father. In a 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Collin Gosselin claimed he never saw his mother after his father removed him from the behavioral facility. “After being there, I didn’t have a relationship with her,” he said at the time.
He talked about his difficult relationship with his mother in the Vice TV show, “Dark Side of the 2000s.“ per Today.com.
In July 2023, Kate Gosselin shared an upsetting update. In a long Instagram post, she wrote, “My son Collin, whom I love very much, has received multiple psychiatric diagnoses over the years. For the safety of myself, his siblings and for his own well-being, he was placed in a facility after years of outpatient treatment that was not enough for his needs.”
The former TLC star also claimed that her son had shown violent behavior while living with her.
“I believe Collin is still a very troubled young man who still needs a lot of help,” she wrote. “His siblings and I have not been directly involved in his life due to his history of unpredictable behavior and violent tendencies towards us.”
