The Oyo State Government expressed concern about the problem of illegally parking and abandoning vehicles at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Ibadan.
People involved have 21 days to move the vehicles or they will be seized by the government.
During a surprise visit to inspect the stadium, the state's Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Wasilat Adegoke, announced this deadline.
In a statement from the Director of Media and Communications of the State Sports Council, Tunde Ajibike, in Ibadan, Adegoke encouraged compliance within the given time frame.
Adegoke urged the public to remove their vehicles from the premises immediately to avoid having them impounded.
She also warned that the State Traffic Management Agency will take action if the vehicles are not removed within 21 days, emphasizing that the stadium is meant for sports and recreation, not as a parking area.
Adegoke also called on shop owners and artisans in the area to use the facilities responsibly and keep the place clean.
She emphasized the government's commitment to promoting sports and providing empowerment programs for the youth in the state.
