At least 34 individuals have passed away and 16 more are unaccounted for following floods on Sumatra island in western Indonesia, as per the spokesperson for the West Sumatra disaster mitigation agency who spoke on Sunday.
“Up to now our information indicates that 34 individuals have passed away: 16 in Agam and 18 in Tanah Datar. At least 18 others are hurt. We are also still looking for 16 other individuals,” Ilham Wahab told AFP, referring to two districts in West Sumatra province.
