POTTSVILLE — The NEPA Manufacturers and Employers Association (MAEA) organized a Night of Celebration to recognize the recipients of the MAEA Excellence Awards on Wednesday at the Mt. Valley Clubhouse.
Businesses from six different areas received recognition at the event, ranging from as far north as Northern Susquehanna County to as far south as Lehigh Valley.
Winners of the awards were acknowledged by MAEA, various lawmakers, the National Association of Manufacturers, the Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association, Schuylkill County Commissioners, Columbia County Commissioners, and Lackawanna County Commissioners.
Award recipients are:
• Hydro Extrusion North America LLC, honored with the Manufacturer Community Involvement award.
• Zimmerman Machine Inc., received the Manufacturer Process Improvement Small Business award.
• Diaz Manufacturing LLC, recognized with Manufacturer Process Improvement award.
• InterMetro Industries Corp., presented with the Manufacturer Product Innovation award.
• Mrs. T’s Pierogies, also awarded the Manufacturer Product Innovation.
• EMD Electronics, acknowledged with the Manufacturer Expansion award.
• Benton Foundry Inc., received the Manufacturer EHS – Environmental, Health & Safety award.
• UFP Industries, Gordon, acknowledged with Manufacturers Community Involvement honorable mention and MAEA Commitment award.
• Industrial Construction Services & Design Inc., received Manufacturers Process Improvement honorable mention.
• EAM-Mosca Corp., acknowledged with Manufacturers Expansion honorable mention.
• PPL Electric Utilities, honored with the Employer Community Involvement award.
• Masser Family of Companies, received the Employer Product Innovation award.
• Downtown Shenandoah, Inc., acknowledged with the Employer Expansion award.
• Penn State Schuylkill, recognized with the Employer EHS – Environmental, Health & Safety award.
