RedState reports that Martha E. Pollack, the president of Cornell University, resigned unexpectedly on Thursday:
“The prestigious school has been involved in two recent controversies: promoting DEI in a racist manner and not addressing antisemitism on its campus effectively. Quite unpleasant, right? The backlash might have been too much for the troubled Pollack.
“… Some of these ‘elite’ universities have been facing a time of accountability, like when UPenn’s Liz Magill stepped down in December 2023 after giving damaging testimony to Congress about the widespread antisemitism on her campus, and Harvard’s president Claudine Gay was forced to resign in January for similar reasons and allegations of plagiarism. However, MIT’s president Sally Kornbluth has been able to retain her position despite faltering at the same congressional hearing.”
