WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” will continue to air on the USA Network until the end of 2024 before transitioning to Netflix.
NBCUniversal and WWE made an agreement to show “Raw” until the end of this year. This deal is worth $25 million.
The previous agreement for “Raw” rights between WWE and NBCUni lasted until September, and now it's extended until the end of the year. The agreement with Netflix was announced in January and it covers livestream rights for 10 years, until 2035, and is valued at an estimated $5 billion.
Netflix will be the platform for all WWE shows and specials outside the U.S., such as “Raw,” “Smackdown,” “NXT,” and events like “WrestleMania,” “SummerSlam,” and “Royal Rumble.” WWE documentaries, original series, and future projects will also be available on Netflix globally.
While “Raw” was previously available on Peacock under the NBCUni deal, this move to Netflix will be the first time since 1993 that “Raw” won’t be on linear TV.
The president and COO of TKO, Mark Shapiro, called this deal “transformative” and said it brings WWE’s content to a wider audience through Netflix and secures financial benefits for many years.
