Angel Reese can do no wrong in her WNBA home debut.
During the first home preseason game of the Chicago Sky against the New York Liberty, the Sky are leading 74-43.
Reese has appeared to be the most outstanding player on the court.
Up to this point in the game, Reese has 13 points made 6 out of 9 shots. She has also secured 4 rebounds, 1 steal, and displayed a lot of energy.
Following Reese's challenging scoring play in the third quarter against reigning WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart, she stared at Stewart before heading back down the court.
In the first quarter, the “Chi Barbie” made another impressive score against 2021 WNBA MVP, Jonquel Jones.
The WNBA shared a clever third quarter steal by the former LSU standout on X, which led to a three-pointer for her teammate, Marina Mabrey.
Despite being fouled, Reese managed to make another difficult basket in the second quarter.
An enthusiastic Reese then scored the “and-1” free throw after her shot.
The Sky appears to be drawing inspiration from the energy of the 2024 WNBA Draftee. If they can maintain this level of play in the regular season, the rest of the WNBA should be cautious.
