Amusa Lasisi, a volunteer teacher from Ekiti State, has started teaching high school students at Government Day College, Tunga Lowcost, Minna, Niger State for free.
Lasisi confirmed on Tuesday that he began teaching on Monday and will be teaching Mathematics to SS2E and SS2F students.
Lasisi applied to be a volunteer teacher in a letter dated April 29, 2024, stating that the high failure rates in recent exams like JAMB, WAEC, and NBTEC in Niger and other states inspired him to get involved.
Lasisi, who graduated in Electrical/Electronics and Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Minna in 2018, completed the National Youth Service Corps program in Kwara State in 2020.
