Rachel Maddow from MSNBC was present in the courtroom and described Trump as appearing irritated, elderly, and unhappy during the court proceedings.
Maddow stated that when she was asked to depict what she had witnessed:
From my vantage point, he appeared mostly inactive. He slouched his shoulders and was somewhat like me, a person who slouches. He was slumped at times and as Mr. Pecker testified, I observed him heavily leaning on the desk. I did not perceive him as particularly lively. However, I may not have been in the best position to observe closely. I have seen him in person a few times in my life. I would say, observing him move up and down the aisle, he seems thinner than before. He appears significantly older and seems irritated, resigned, maybe angry. He seems like someone who is miserable to be there. I am not an expert in body language. This is just my observation. He appeared old, tired, and angry. I would probably seem that way as well.
If Trump is furious and miserable, that could explain his

Trump is irritated and angry because he is not in control. Trump is a passive spectator sidelined.
He no longer controls the narrative, which is why his appearances outside the courtroom are filled with frantic spin.
