The jury has been sworn in at Trump’s hush money trial, as arguments could begin on Monday.
NBC’s Lisa Rubin reported:
NEW: As I predicted earlier today, we now have a jury of 12 and one alternate. We’re moving in to the alternate process; Merchan has directed that everyone remaining from today’s pool of 96 be included in this next round of jury questionnaires and voir dire.

MSNBC’s Deadline: White House talked about the schedule going forward, “We still need to choose the replacement jurors tomorrow. And I want to be very cautious. The jurors have been officially promised to be fair and truthful. Some of them might change their minds and express concerns tomorrow, and then we could be back to ten members. The situation is still uncertain. But currently, we have a jury, and then we'll assess the situation at the end of the day. If things continue as they have been, it seems like the discussions might start on Monday morning. It's important to note that the court session ends at two on Monday and Tuesday, and there's no session on Wednesday. So, that's the plan if everything moves forward on Monday morning.”

Discussing the case might begin on Monday, and if that happens, Trump gets closer to being found guilty. As long as no more jurors want to be relieved from duty, the trial will likely proceed. Trump has publicly stated his belief that he would win certain legal decisions that would stop the Manhattan trial from taking place.
Trump was mistaken. The former president will face a trial, and he might become the first former president in US history to be found guilty.
