Jeremy Gold is leaving his job as president of production at Blumhouse Television.
Gold, who has worked at the studio for eight years, is finishing up his executive duties as he moves to a production agreement with Blumhouse TV for his new Gold Company.
The former executive will still be involved as an executive producer for three of Blumhouse Television’s upcoming series, all of which are set for a release on Amazon Prime Video in 2024/2025. These series include “The Bondsman,” with Kevin Bacon, currently in production in Atlanta,” “The Sticky,” featuring Margo Martindale and created by Brian Donovan and Ed Herro, and “Scarpetta,” starring Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis and based on Patricia Cornwell’s book series, “Scarpetta” is expected to get a two-season order overseen by EP and showrunner Liz Sarnoff.
Due to the SAG-AFTRA strike in 2023 delaying the start of filming on “The Bondsman,” Gold’s move to producer was sped up so that he could be more involved in the show’s day-to-day production.
Apart from being an EP on the series, Gold will supervise and produce several other TV projects currently in development at Blumhouse.
After Chris McCumber left Blumhouse TV in October, Gold was appointed as president on an interim basis, with Chris Dickie stepping in to assist as well.
As Gold steps down from his executive duties, Blumhouse is still looking for a new television president. Meanwhile, Blumhouse TV continues to lead its divisions, including unscripted, which is headed by Gretchen Palek, as well as production, casting, marketing, HR and finance.
