After two seasons, the sci-fi drama 'Quantum Leap' has been canceled by NBC, according to TheWrap.
Raymond Lee played Dr. Ben Song in the series where a physicist is pulled into the past. The show, which premiered in 2022, is set 30 years after the original 'Quantum Leap' and focuses on Ben and his team restarting the time-travel machine. This series follows a new generation of scientists who time-travel and inhabit different people's bodies, fixing errors and learning life lessons.
The drama also featured Caitlin Bassett, Mason Alexander Park, Nanrisa Lee, Ernie Hudson, Peter Gadiot, and Eliza Taylor. The new version was created by Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, with Donald P. Bellisario, the original series' creator, as the executive producer.
The first season premiered in the fall of 2022, while the second season premiered in October 2023.
NBC has made decisions about the next season for various shows, including 'Found' and 'The Irrational' receiving Season 2 orders. They also renewed 'Chicago Fire,' 'Chicago Med,' 'Chicago P.D.,' 'Law & Order,' and 'Law & Order: SVU' for the 2024 to 2025 season. The fate of 'Law & Order: Organized Crime' is still undecided.
