The 73rd Irem Shrine Circus in Dallas will be smaller and at a different location, but the organizers assure that the show will still happen.
John Richards, the Irem Shrine Circus Chairman, announced that the “Billy Martin presents the Cole All Star Circus” will be hosted at the Irem Shrine Center pavilion in Dallas from May 9th to 12th.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting April 15th, priced at $10 for individuals aged 15 and over, and $5 for those aged 14 and under.
Richards anticipates having seating for 500 people per show and ensuring that everyone has a clear view of the performance.
There are plans for seven shows, including one on the final day, May 12th, which is Mother’s Day.
“We will have two rings — one on our stage in the pavilion and the other on the floor,” Richards said. “Everybody performing has been part of the Shrine Circus in the past, this is just a scaled-down version.”
All the performers will be humans — no animals will take part.
The circus will include aerial acts, unicyclists, and more, as well as popular food items like cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs, drinks, and pizza.
Proceeds from the circus will cover the administrative costs of Irem uniformed units and vehicles, allowing the Irem Shrine to participate in fundraisers to support the mission of Shriners. Money raised from a golf tournament this summer will fund transportation for children to Shriners’ hospitals for treatment.
