Delroy Lindo has agreed to be part of Ryan Coogler’s upcoming movie that will come out from Warner Bros. in March 2025, as confirmed by the studio to TheWrap.
The actor from “Da 5 Bloods” and “The Harder They Fall” will be featured in the movie alongside Michael B. Jordan, a frequent collaborator of Coogler. Lindo’s role and details about the storyline are being kept under wraps as filming is scheduled to commence in New Orleans this spring.
Coogler wrote the screenplay and is also producing the film through his company Proximity Media. Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian will also serve as producers.
Lindo is well-known for his numerous projects with Spike Lee in movies such as “Malcolm X,” “Clockers,” and most recently “Da 5 Bloods,” where he was highly praised for his portrayal of a bitter, traumatized Vietnam War veteran. He also appeared in Jeymes Samuel’s 2021 Western “The Harder They Fall” as U.S. Marshal Bass Reeves and starred alongside Kerry Washington in the Hulu series “Unprisoned,” which has just completed filming its second season.
Lindo is represented by IAG. The casting news was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
