The situation of a man who went missing and was later discovered deceased is now under investigation as a homicide by Dufferin Ontario Provincial Police.
The Caledon detachment announced on Monday that they found a deceased person in the Chinguacousy Road and King Street area in the Town of Caledon.
A post-mortem examination conducted on Tuesday revealed that the death was a result of a homicide, according to the police.
The person who passed away has been identified as 65-year-old David Robson, who was reported missing from the Township of Melancthon on March 25.
Authorities are still searching for Robson’s 2017 black Kia Sportage with the Ontario licence plate DAMZ 252.
The provincial police stated that they do not believe there is a threat to public safety and mentioned that “investigators do not consider this to be a random incident.”
