BEAR CREEK — Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski and Sen. Dave Argall said on Tuesday that they have secured $489,536 in grant funding for the Route 115 Safety Project.
“It is always a pleasure working with Sen. Argall to obtain funds that will be used to make our communities a safer place,” said Pashinski, D-Wilkes-Barre. “Recently, engineering consultants conducted a speed study on Route 115 and confirmed the need for a safer road design. The grant funding that is being provided today is for a completely new design and restructuring of that main intersection and roadway.”
Argall, R-Pottsville, stated that once these improvements are finished, the location on Route 115 will be safer for both drivers and residents.
The funding was granted by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Commonwealth Finance Authority Multimodal Grant Funding.
