MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” compared the Easter celebrations of Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Trump made 77 posts on Truth Social and likened himself to Jesus.
Co-host Mika Brzezinski said on the show that Donald Trump spent another religious holiday on social media, posting continuously.
Brzezinski noted that while most people were with family or in church on Easter, Trump seemed glued to his phone.
She added that the presumptive 2024 Republican nominee spent the day airing his grievances and sharing favorable far-right news coverage.
Meanwhile, Biden's social media message expressed warm wishes for Easter and reflected on the hope and promise of Christ’s resurrection.
Brzezinski highlighted the clear contrast between the two men’s messages for the religious holiday.
Brzezinski commented on Trump's strategy as the 'shock opera' – mangling the truth, warning about his leadership, and triggering the media.
She compared Trump to a 'cult leader' and stated that he is mangling the truth and triggering the media to warn people about his leadership style.
Brzezinski then asked Charlie Sykes for his opinion, to which he responded, “Happy April Fools’ Day, unfortunately, this is the real world.”
Sykes remarked on the contrast between Joe Biden, a sincere and committed Catholic, and Donald Trump, who made over 70 unhinged rants.
