The head of the National Council for Women Societies, Lami Adamu-Lau, has advised Nigerians to close the gaps between different ethnic and religious groups and adopt the spirit of making amends.
Adamu-Lau expressed this in her Easter communication in Abuja on Sunday.
She pointed out the importance of Easter festivities and emphasized the need to embrace the principles in order to construct a more robust and prosperous Nigeria.
“This Easter, let's commit ourselves again to the principles that Easter represents, such as love, empathy, forgiveness, and helping others.
“Let's make an effort to establish connections across ethnic and religious boundaries and collaborate for a calmer, more prosperous, and fairer Nigeria,” she said.
The National Agency of Nigeria stated that the president of NCWS also motivated women to ponder their power and endurance to have a positive influence on society.
“Let's find motivation from the story of the women who accompanied Jesus to the cross and were the first ones to see his resurrection,” she said.
Adamu-Lau also advised Nigerians to help the less fortunate and those in need in order to share the blessings of the season.
