The National Agency for the Control of AIDS renewed its dedication to fighting HIV/AIDS and advancing the welfare of all Nigerians on Saturday.
The commitment was communicated in the agency's Easter message provided to reporters in Abuja.
According to the statement, the agency's Director-General, Dr. Temitope Ilori, highlighted that Easter represents a time of contemplation, rejuvenation, and optimism, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and of love over hopelessness.
“As we observe this important occasion, we are reminded of the principles of empathy, solidarity, and perseverance – principles that deeply align with NACA’s mission to combat HIV/AIDS and promote the welfare of all Nigerians.
“In addressing the challenges presented by the HIV epidemic, the Easter spirit encourages us to unite firmly in our dedication to overcoming obstacles and creating a better future for all Nigerians,” stated Ilori.
Ilori extended well wishes for a blessed Easter filled with peace, joy, and the blessings of rejuvenation to all Christians.
“May this season bring solace and fortitude to all those impacted by HIV/AIDS, and may our combined efforts continue to inspire hope and progress in our battle against the epidemic,” she included.
NACA serves as Nigeria’s primary agency responsible for coordinating and controlling HIV/AIDS programs.
