FRSC is asking drivers and other road users to follow road safety measures during Easter.
Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu, said doing this would prevent loss of lives and properties.
Biu mentioned this in a message to Christians for Easter, signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Jonas Agwu.
The statement said, "As Christian faithful around the world celebrate Easter, a day to mark Jesus' resurrection from death, Corps Marshal of FRSC, Dauda Biu, has congratulated all Christians in the country.
Biu urged drivers to embrace the teachings of love and compassion during Holy Week and the purpose of Christ's resurrection.
"The unnecessary loss of lives and properties on the nation's roads due to impatience could have been avoided if people followed the exemplary life of Jesus Christ.
The FRSC boss urged the public not to ignore the safety rules during the celebration.
"People should not ignore the rules during the celebration but continue to observe them to build on the progress made by the corps in making the highways safer for everyone," he said.
He also urged Christians to "use the celebration to offer special prayers for our country while affirming the commitment of the Corps to sustaining its current successes in reducing road crashes.
He revealed that commanding officers nationwide have been instructed to be vigilant during the celebrations, provide necessary support to the public, and attend to any emergencies.
He asked for cooperation from the public in the agency's campaigns for a safer road environment by promptly reporting any road and other emergencies to the FRSC.
