Emmanuel Kure, the Chairman of the Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association, has asked for assistance for the less fortunate during the Easter festivities.
Kure, who spoke on Saturday in his Easter message released to the media in Kaduna, praised Christians for experiencing Jesus Christ's death and resurrection.
Kure described Easter as a time for Christians worldwide to celebrate the triumph of life over death and contemplate on Jesus' teachings of love, peace, and forgiveness.
“This year’s Easter celebration is especially meaningful, given the challenging times we have experienced as a community.
“As people of faith, we find strength and hope in the Easter message, which reminds us that even in the darkest times, there is always light and that through resilience and unity, we can overcome any challenge,” he said.
Kure, the Vision Pioneer of Throneroom Ministry, stressed the importance of embracing the essence of Easter to promote harmony, tolerance, and love among all individuals and communities in the Southern Kaduna region.
He praised the government, security agencies, and relevant stakeholders for their efforts in ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for the Easter celebration.
” I encourage all Christians to remember the less privileged in our midst during this Easter period. Let us extend a helping hand to those in need, offering support and kindness to uplift one another.
“By doing so, we demonstrate the true Christian spirit and contribute to building a more inclusive and compassionate society,” he added.
He also praised the Muslim Ummah for their fasting and urged them to continue praying for a more peaceful future together.
