Ewan McGregor and Anne Hathaway will star in a new film by David Robert Mitchell, titled “Flowervale Street,” releasing next year.
The upcoming movie from Bad Robot, directed by the filmmaker behind “It Follows” and “Under the Silver Lake,” will premiere in Imax theaters on May 16, 2025. The producers include J.J. Abrams, Hannah Minghella, Tommy Harper, and Mitchell.
The cast also includes Maisy Stella and Christian Convery, known for their roles in the Netflix series “Sweet Tooth” and “Cocaine Bear,” as well as an upcoming “Frankenstein” entry from Guillermo del Toro. upcoming “Frankenstein” entry from Guillermo del Toro.
Maisy Stella and Christian Convery, who gained fame from “Nashville” and “My Old Ass” with Aubrey Plaza, are expected to play the children of Hathaway and McGregor’s characters.
In addition to this movie, Hathaway is involved in another project called “The Idea of You,” based on the book by Robinne Lee, where she portrays a single mother who meets the lead singer of August Moon at Coachella, resulting in a love story.
The film received positive reactions that moved Hathaway to tears at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival.
McGregor is currently starring in “A Gentleman in Moscow” on Paramount+ and Showtime, based on Amor Towles’ best-selling book. McGregor plays Count Alexander Rostov, who is sentenced to live in a hotel but finds new purpose through friendships and adventures. His wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars alongside him as actress Anna Urbanova.
It’s the spontaneous friendships and adventures within the hotel that give him a new purpose and understanding of what’s important in life.
The movie “Flowervale Street” from Bad Robot and Warner Bros. will debut on May 16, 2025.
