Three individuals have died and two others were hurt in a two-vehicle crash north of Cobourg, Ont., on Thursday night.
Northumberland OPP state that around 11:30 p.m., emergency teams arrived to a report of a two-vehicle crash on County Road 45 near Beagle Club Road in Alnwick-Haldimand Township, about 15 kilometers north of Cobourg.
OPP indicate that the drivers of both vehicles and a passenger perished.
Two additional passengers were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, OPP report.
County Road 45 was shut down between County Road 22 and Beagle Club Road as OPP conducted their investigation.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, police said Friday morning.
