The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command, has assigned 1,384 workers to churches and important areas.
This action aims to guarantee a peaceful and problem-free Good Friday and Easter Monday celebrations in the state.
This information is in a statement from the command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Abdullahi, which was given to The PUNCH on Friday.
“The State Commandant, NSCDC Kano Command, Mohammed Falala, has ordered the deployment of 1,384 personnel to churches and other important places,” the statement mentioned..
The employees were selected from the different departments of the command to support the work of those at the divisional offices in providing adequate security during and after the Easter celebrations.
“The departments include Operation Department, Critical National Assets Protection Department, Armed Squad and Anti Vandalism Units,” Abdullahi included.
