A man went on a stabbing spree at multiple locations in the US state of Illinois, resulting in the death of four people, including a teenage girl, and at least five others being injured, as stated by the police.
The stabbings occurred on Wednesday afternoon, according to a statement from Rockford City Police. They also mentioned that a 22-year-old suspect was arrested.
The motive was not mentioned in the statement.
Rockford is situated about 90 miles northwest of Chicago.
The victims included a 15-year-old girl, a 63-year-old woman, and two men aged 49 and 22, according to the police.
The police statement initially reported five wounded individuals, but US media later stated that the police mentioned seven wounded.
