Just weeks after winning several Oscars, including Best Actress for “Poor Things,” Emma Stone and director Yorgos Lanthimos release the first teaser for their next project. The movie is called 'Kinds of Kindness'.
The film from Searchlight Pictures is Yorgos Lanthimos’ first non-period piece since 2017’s “Killing of a Sacred Deer” and is described as “a triptych fable” with three stories: a man facing a lack of choice and trying to gain control, a policeman surprised by the return of his wife who seems changed, and a woman on a quest to find someone with a special ability meant to become a spiritual leader.
The cast includes Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, and Hunter Schafer.
Lanthimos and Efthimis Filippou co-wrote the movie, continuing their collaboration from “Sacred Deer,” 2015’s “The Lobster,” and Lanthimos’ first feature “Dogtooth.”
This marks the third collaboration between Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos, following “The Favourite” and “Poor Things,” with plans for a “Save the Green Planet” remake in the works.
The release of 'Kinds of Kindness' in theaters is set for June 21.
