Breeze Airways announced on Tuesday that they will have a new flight to Fort Myers from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP).
The new route will begin on October 3, with flights on Thursdays and Sundays, and prices starting at $89 for a one-way ticket.
Breeze already flies to Orlando from AVP.
Carl Beardsley, the AVP Executive Director, expressed satisfaction with Breeze Airways' expansion in the Northeastern Pennsylvania region. He mentioned that the new flights to Fort Myers will complement the existing ones to Orlando.
Tom Doxey, President of Breeze Airways, stated, “We’re excited to include this new route to Fort Myers as part of our growing network from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
In January, Breeze Airways started offering new flights from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport to Orlando, Fla.
Since Allegiant Air stopped its service in December 2017, the airport hasn't had direct flights to Florida.
Breeze does not have change or cancellation fees up to 15 minutes before departure and provides benefits like free family seating and customizable pricing.
Breeze makes it simple to purchase and travel with smooth booking, no change or cancellation fees, up to 24 months of usable flight credit, and personalized flight features through an easy-to-use app.
