Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) told Jake Tapper that Trump is not a typical candidate but a criminal who planned a domestic terror assault.
Tapper inquired Rep. Ocasio-Cortez about how independent voters perceive the numerous criminal cases against Trump, to which she replied:
Has any president from either party faced this many criminal charges, indictments, and investigations? This isn't about politics; it's about corruption and criminal behavior. We're discussing an individual who essentially ordered a terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol to retain power, and this is not a partisan issue.
It's not about party affiliation; it's about an unethical person prone to criminal behavior. Sadly, this is the reality, and the fact that it's happening in various jurisdictions emphasizes that. This isn't confined to New York; it involves Georgia and federal courts.

AOC was accurate. The media shouldn't classify Trump as a conventional candidate, as Jake Tapper did with his hypothetical question.
Voters aren't deciding between two regular candidates; they are choosing between a standard candidate and one who continues to engage in criminal actions and incited a domestic terrorist attack on the Capitol to cling to power.
The two candidates are not equivalent.
Trump prompted a violent assault on the U.S. where people were harmed and killed. This isn't business as usual in politics, and the media must stop trying to normalize Donald Trump.
