SAG-AFTRA members have overwhelmingly agreed to a new TV animation contract, as announced by the guild on Friday.
The guild stated that the new agreement was ratified by 95.52%, but did not disclose the total number of voters.
According to the guild, the new contract provides a 7% increase in pay, retroactive to July 1, 2023, and safeguards against artificial intelligence.
The TV Animation Negotiating Committee Co-Chairs, Bob Bergen and David Jolliffe, expressed pride in delivering an agreement that addresses the feedback from members and offers significant benefits. They emphasized that this is the first SAG-AFTRA animation voiceover contract to include protections against the misuse of artificial intelligence.
