A person in Richmond has won the initial Gold Ball Jackpot prize in B.C., taking away a huge $58 million.
The BC Lottery Corporation said it will reveal the identity of the fortunate winner at a press conference later Friday.
For the Gold Ball Jackpot, the reward begins at $10 million and increases by $2 million each draw until someone is successful.
This $58 million reward is also the biggest jackpot in B.C. acquired from a playnow.com internet ticket.
The victorious ticket was bought for the March 6, 2024, drawing.
In 2023, B.C. lottery players have received over $120 million in prizes from Lotto 6/49.
