TheWrap has exclusively learned that Sam Adegoke from 'Dynasty' will be joining the cast of Kevin Hart's 'Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist'.
Adegoke will be a recurring character in the Peacock limited series, joining the previously announced cast which includes Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson and Chloe Bailey.
The series, currently being filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, tells the story of an armed robbery during Muhammad Ali’s 1970 comeback fight, and how it changed one man’s life and the fate of an entire city.
'Fight Night' focuses on the heavyweight fight and underground heist that put Atlanta on the map as 'the Black Mecca.' Dexter Darden plays Muhammad Ali, while Cheadle portrays J.D. Hudson, one of Atlanta’s first Black detectives. Taraji P. Henson stars as businesswoman Vivian Thomas and Jackson as gangster Richard “Cadillac” Wheeler.
Adapted from the true crime podcast “Fight Night,” produced by Doghouse Pictures, LLC and iHeartMedia + Entertainment, Inc., “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” is produced by Universal Television.
Created and written by Shaye Ogbonna (“Penguin,” “The Chi”), the series is produced by Ogbonna, Jason Horwitch alongside Hart, Sabrina Wind for Will Packer Media, and others.
Adegoke is known for his role as Jeff Colby in the CW’s “Dynasty,” as well as appearances in “This Is Not A War Story,” “NCIS: LA,” “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” and “Murder In The First.” He is set to star opposite Rosario Dawson in the upcoming indie horror movie “Dark Days & the Dawn.”
