Leduc RCMP have stated that they are looking into a road rage event that resulted in a stabbing in the city located to the south of Edmonton on Wednesday.
Around 7:20 p.m., the police report that a driver suddenly drove in front of another driver on 50th Street near the City Centre Mall.
Both vehicles entered a parking lot at 6207 – 50th St. where a physical fight took place, as mentioned by the RCMP in a news release on Thursday morning.
During the altercation, a 42-year-old man was stabbed, as per the police.
The man sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance.
RCMP mentioned that the suspect stayed at the scene and offered first aid to the victim until the arrival of the police and EMS.
The name of the suspect has not been disclosed; however, they have been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
