“Road HouseThe cult classic, which starred Patrick Swayze as the bouncer at a rowdy bar, has returned. This time, Jake Gyllenhaal portrays Dalton, now seen as a disgraced UFC fighter with a mysterious past.
Dalton reluctantly accepts a job in the Florida Keys, aiming to control the aggressive customers of a bar named (ironically) The Road House. Along the way, he discovers a larger plot to eliminate the bar, which he also has to address. He is not as calm as Swayze's character, but still hesitant to get involved. Eventually, he becomes embroiled in a very violent situation. Fortunately, he is prepared for the challenge.
This new version of “Road House,” directed by Doug Liman, known for action favorites like “The Bourne Identity” and “Edge of Tomorrow,” is packed with impressive action sequences and delightful character moments. (The writers, Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry, are proteges of Shane Black and have a good sense of humor.) Even if you feel like remaking “Road House” is not right, you should probably give in to the appeal of an updated 1980s favorite. be niceHere's how to watch “Road House” right now.
