Charges have been dropped against another woman in the well-known case of Elnaz Hajtimiri, the woman who Ontario police claim was kidnapped and murdered by her former boyfriend.
According to court records, the accusation of kidnapping against Krystal Lawrence was dropped at the request of the prosecutor on Tuesday.
Records show that a second woman, Dominique Ewan, also had her charges dropped in October, including those related to the supposed abduction.
Ewan was also accused of knowingly having a stolen 2019 Land Rover and tampering with a vehicle identification number.
Hajtimiri was last seen in January 2022, when Ontario Provincial Police claim individuals in ski masks and fake police vests kidnapped her from her family's home in Wasaga Beach, Ont.
OPP have accused her ex-boyfriend of first-degree murder, as well as for the supposed “invasion-style” kidnapping of Hajtimiri and her alleged assault in a Richmond Hill parking lot just weeks before.
