Officers from the Isokoko Division of the Lagos State Police Command have conducted a search at a residence in Agege where counterfeit drinks are being manufactured.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer of the command, revealed this information in a video posted on his X handle on Thursday.
Hundeyin stated that, during the operation, four individuals suspected to be the masterminds responsible for the illegal distillery were apprehended, and counterfeit drinks were seized among other items.
His post stated, “Officers of Isokoko Division, based on credible information, conducted a search at a residence in Agege where counterfeit alcoholic drinks were being produced.
“The police apprehended four individuals involved in the illegal distillery and recovered counterfeit drinks, empty bottles, and labels of various brands. Investigation is ongoing.”

Magnus Nwonka, 42, and Imo Lawrence, 35, for being in possession of counterfeit drinks. The suspects were said to have guided the detectives to a multi-room facility in an unclean environment where the counterfeit drinks were manufactured.
