The popular couple from “Bridgerton” Season 2, known as Kanthony, will be supervising the relationships of the next generation in Season 3 of the hit Netflix series.
A short glimpse released on Wednesday reveals Jonathan Bailey’s Anthony Bridgerton overseeing Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and his younger sister Francesca (Hannah Dodd) meeting potential suitors at a grand event.
In the beginning of the clip, Francesca asks Anthony for a private moment.
The recently married Viscount Bridgerton then notices his love interest Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) across the room and joins her and his mother Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmel) for a chat.
Violet inquires about Francesca's well-being, and Anthony assures her that both he and Francesca needed a break.
Anthony expresses his desire to have a private moment with his wife before taking her to the dancefloor.
The clip ends with Penelope appearing in a striking emerald green dress, a departure from her usual citrus-colored attire.
Hannah Dodd has taken over from Ruby Stokes as Francesca Bridgerton in Season 3, which will focus on the love story of Penelope and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). This season is based on events from Julia Quinn's book series, particularly “Romancing Mister Bridgerton.”
The logline for the season describes Penelope's abandonment of her crush on Colin and her quest to find a husband who will allow her independence to maintain her secretive identity as Lady Whistledown.
Penelope must also deal with the discord between her and Eloise (Claudia Jessie) that arose at the end of Season 2.
Jess Brownell is the new showrunner for “Bridgerton” Season 3, supported by executive producers Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and the former showrunner Chris Van Dusen, who handed over responsibilities to Brownell while he completed the second season.
The first part of the third season will be available on Netflix on May 16, with the second part following nearly a month later on June 13.
