The Pittsburgh Steelers were happy to have a new quarterback Russell Wilson during his first week with the team. Rival quarterback Deshaun Watson was also welcoming, but his greeting to Wilson in the same division came with an interesting caution.
“Welcome to the AFC North, where things can get very eerie,” said Watson on his most recent episode of his “QB Unplugged” show.
Wilson is entering a division that includes Watson, current MVP Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow as the other quarterbacks.
However, Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett, the 2023 sack leader in NFL T.J. Watt and 3-time Pro Bowler Trey Hendrickson also play in the AFC North. Those three players combined for over 50 sacks last season.
Moreover, the Cleveland Browns ended the 2023 season with the best total defense. The Baltimore Ravens allowed the fewest points.
