Members of Parliament are going back to the House of Commons on Monday and are likely to give tributes to Brian Mulroney.
The former prime minister passed away in Florida on Feb. 29 at the age of 84.
His casket will arrive in Ottawa on Tuesday, and he will lie in state for two days.
The Governor General and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, along with other dignitaries, will offer condolences to the Mulroney family on Tuesday morning.
The casket will then be transported to Montreal on Wednesday afternoon, and Mulroney will lie in repose at St. Patrick’s Basilica, allowing the public to pay their respects.
A state funeral is scheduled for Saturday morning at Notre Dame Basilica, featuring eulogies from Caroline Mulroney, Jean Charest, and Wayne Gretzky.
