People who travel to Kelowna may want to avoid a part of downtown starting on Monday.
Between March 18 and 22, the section of Bernard Avenue between Bertram and St. Paul streets will be closed to vehicles, and drivers are asked to use different routes until the roads reopen.
The city is closing the area to allow workers to take down a crane at the Bernard Block building site.
The City of Kelowna said in a press release that signs at the site will show alternative routes and traffic control will help drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. Emergency access will still be available.
Bernard Block's two towers are expected to be finished and available for use by this summer.
