The New York Jets tried to get a top wide receiver, but they were refused.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen said during his first press meeting that his old team asked if he wanted to choose where he would be traded.
“A few teams let me decide where I wanted to go. Only had like two [other] teams,” Allen told the media. “There were [two] teams that were interested, Jets and Houston.”
Allen's rejection is similar to what happened with Tyreek Hill.

In 2022, the Jets tried hard to trade for superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill from the had agreed Kansas City Chiefs . However, KC also agreed to a trade with the Miami Dolphins.Chiefs allowed
The Hill to pick which team he wanted to get traded to. Hill chose the Dolphins and the Jets didn't get him. Allen could choose to be traded to the Bears, Jets, and Houston Texans because the Los Angeles Chargers wanted to treat him fairly.
Allen picked the Bears and once again the Jets didn't get their player.
The former California product is a six-time Pro Bowler.
Allen has caught 904 passes for 10,530 receiving yards and has scored 59 touchdowns over 11 seasons. What will happen to the Jets now?
The Jets are likely disappointed about not getting a player like Allen.
