Deshaun Watson is happy with how free agency turned out for the Cleveland Browns and believes his team has a good chance of winning the Super Bowl next season.
The Browns have added several new players such as running back Nyheim Hines and linebacker Jordan Hicks. However, Watson is particularly excited about the return of some players, specifically pass-rusher Za’Darius Smith and Maurice Hurst.
“I’m sure everyone on the defense is excited. I'm really hyped about it,” Watson said on the latest episode of “QB Unplugged” which was released on Friday, March 15. “Bringing back the guys and maintaining team unity.”
The Browns are bringing back almost all the key players from their top-ranked defense. Additionally, Cleveland is expected to be much healthier offensively, with Watson recovering from shoulder surgery and also working on his comeback. If the Browns can remain healthy next season, Watson believes they can win it all. Nick Chubb “We have the right components. We just need to bring it all together,” Watson said. “Once we all become fit and have the chance to play together for an entire season, definitely we have a chance. We have the defense, the offense, the special teams, the culture, the fan base. Now we just need to make it happen.”

Jameis Winston , who will serve as hisbackup next season . It may have been a matter of timing, depending on when the podcast was recorded. Watson did react to the signings of Smith and Hurst, which were among the initial updates on free agency.Winston and the Browns agreed to a one-year deal that could
pay up to $8.7 million . This marked a change for the Browns, who were considering re-signingHowever, the Browns did not extend a contract offer to Flacco and instead chose Winston — a former No. 1 overall pick. Before free agency, the Browns made a trade to acquire former first-round pick
Denver Broncos Jerry Jeudy from the reacted positively on X. Watson and knew for some time that the Browns were pursuing Jeudy. “They kept me informed. We were involved in that way,” Watson remarked. “I was already aware of the situation behind the scenes for quite some time. We eventually finalized it. He's a player that definitely caught our interest and someone we wanted to bring in. … We have the pieces to achieve something, without a doubt.”
Jeduy has never reached 1,000 yards but has come close a few times. In four seasons, he has gathered 211 catches
