To counter the eerie feeling of the Ides of March, Netflix has released another Lindsay Lohan movie, 'Irish Wish,' which is now available for streaming. It comes after 'Falling for Christmas' in Lohan's deal with the streaming service. to produce two movies. 'Irish Wish' centers on love, fortune, and a touch of enchantment in the romantic comedy released just before Saint Patrick’s Day.
Lohan plays a clever editor, Maddie, who struggles with matters of her heart. A wish granted by a mystical woman in the beautiful Irish countryside helps Maddie realize that her hopes and dreams may not align with what she truly wants in life.
Featuring music from Lohan’s younger sister, Aliana, and a guest appearance from her brother, Dokota, the cast also includes several other familiar faces. Below, we've listed the 'Irish Wish' cast and their characters:
Maddie Kelly (Lindsay Lohan)
Maddie is the editor for best-selling author Paul Kennedy's books, except for his latest one, which she essentially wrote herself. Despite her long collaboration with Paul, Maddie struggles with her feelings for the Irish-born writer and makes a wish to marry him, which comes true, to an extent.
Lindsay Lohan is renowned for her roles in films such as 'The Parent Trap' (1998), 'Mean Girls' (2004), 'Freaky Friday' (2003), and more recently, 'Falling for Christmas' (2022). She also made a cameo appearance in the 'Mean Girls' musical movie (2024).
Paul Kennedy (Alexander Vlahos)
Paul, who hails from Ireland, draws heavily from his roots in his books. He relies on Maddie for edits and considers them a great team, in a platonic sense.
Alexander Vlahos portrayed Allan Christie in 'Outlander' and Charles Lockhart in 'Sanditon.' He also directed 'Bright World: So It Goes' (2022) and 'Lola' (2020).
James Thomas (Ed Speleers)
James is a free-spirited traveler who takes on photography assignments wherever the wind leads him. He happens to be in Ireland at the same time as Maddie for work, and she encounters him both before and after making her wish. He helps her see things clearly and find the courage to speak up.
Ed Speleers is known for portraying Jack Crusher in 'Star Trek: Picard,' Rhys in 'You' Season 4, Jimmy Kent in 'Downton Abbey,' and Stephen Bonnet in 'Outlander.'
Heather (Ayesha Curry)
Heather is one of Maddie’s close friends who understands Maddie's true feelings but also desires a relationship for herself.

Emma Taylor (Elizabeth Tan)
Emma is another friend of Maddie, but she and Paul connected at his book launch party. Before Maddie makes her wish, it’s Emma who is marrying Paul.
Elizabeth Tan is recognized for her roles in “The Singapore Grip,” “Top Boy,” and “Emily in Paris.” She also portrayed Jun Yuhuan in “Agatha and the Midnight Murders” (2020).
Rosemary Kelly (Jane Seymour)
Rosemary is Maddie’s mother and a school principal in their Iowa hometown. She encourages Maddie to share her feelings with Paul, but she is unaware of the events in Ireland and the wish, until prompted by the wedding between Paul and Maddie.
Jane Seymour is renowned for her roles as Elise McKenna in “Somewhere in Time” (1980), Solitaire in “Live and Let Die” (1973), and Kathleen Cleary in “Wedding Crashers” (2005). She also portrayed Dr. Michaela Quinn in all 149 episodes of “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.”
