A woman has been taken into custody, and a man is in critical condition after a crash in Brampton, Ont., authorities said Sunday.
Peel Region officers received reports from Brampton-area hospital emergency room staff that a man had arrived around 5 a.m. with severe injuries caused by a vehicle.
Upon further investigation, police found that the collision occurred in the Juliana Square area, according to a statement.
The Major Collision Bureau is working to investigate the incident and determine its cause.
Peel police confirmed to Global News that a woman from Brampton had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Specific charges have not been disclosed at this time.
